Grappler Balconies
A fifth of the weight of a concrete balcony, Grappler Balconies typically save 15% in structural steel costs for edge beams and foundations. With customisable architectural finishes and fast, craned-in installation, they reduce installation time and the number of site trades, offering a smarter and lower-risk alternative to traditional balcony construction. Grappler Balconies are compatible with a wide range of facade types and structural systems – from precast and CLT to traditional timber and steel framed construction. They work seamlessly with our Attaché range of balustrades and screens.
The four systems
Stack-on
A patented system, Stack-On installs quickly and securely via pre-installed structural corner posts and support stubs to the building facade. Works on projecting balconies and where the structural frame is unable to support a cantilever design.
Slide-on
A patented side-supported balcony system, Slide-On installs quickly and securely via pre-installed structural angles or stubs, transferring gravity load only to the structural frame.
Glide-on
A patented cantilevered balcony system, Glide-On installs quickly and securely via pre-installed structural anchor stubs in combination with extension support arms.
Hook-on
A patented system for projecting balconies, Hook-On installs quickly and securely via pre-installed structural attachment hooks that support the balcony through a suspension frame.
How Grappler works
Grappler Balconies are pre-engineered, factory-made units built around the patented Cassette® system – an integrated floor frame with decking, soffits and balustrades all in place. Designed for speed, safety and aesthetics, Grappler is installed with minimal facade penetrations and comes with thermal breaks, acoustic control and fire-rating. The slim, free-draining deck reduces structural load, and all external features can be customised. These elegant units have been used in UK construction for over ten years, speeding and derisking a key part of the build.
